Lighting LED lighting -> latest LED lighting

Switching from old LED lighting to the latest LED

How many years have passed since you installed LED lighting?

Are you experiencing any issues with your current LED lighting, such as flickering or sections going out, feeling like it is dimmer than before, or finding that the warranty on your current LED lighting has expired?

LED lighting also has a lifespan. Older LED lighting near the end of its life has lower efficiency compared to when it was new. Compared to conventional incandescent bulbs and fluorescent lights, the lifespan of LEDs is long, with 40,000 hours serving as a guideline. If operated 12 hours a day for 360 days a year, the lifespan is approximately 9 years. Even when they reach the end of their lifespan, LED lights rarely flicker like fluorescent tubes or stop working altogether like incandescent bulbs; in most cases, they continue to stay lit while becoming dimmer. As a result, the current situation is that many people continue using them without realizing they have reached the end of their lifespan. Although there are slight differences depending on the manufacturer, the lifespan is generally defined as the operating time until the brightness drops to about 70% of when it was new. Even if you are using LED lighting that was replaced before 2013, replacing it with the latest LED lighting can be expected to significantly reduce electricity costs.

Energy-saving efficiency in LED lighting has increased significantly thanks to remarkable technological innovations in LED bulbs in recent years. Therefore, simply replacing LED lighting that has reached the end of its life and whose brightness has dropped to about 70% with the latest LED lighting will improve efficiency.

Furthermore, with modern dimmable LED lighting, adjusting the brightness after replacement to match the level before replacement will lower power consumption and provide energy-saving benefits.

Replacing lighting fixtures used for over 10 years with LEDs increases the risk of serious accidents due to aging and deterioration.

Because LED lamps differ in structure and electrical characteristics from traditional incandescent and fluorescent lamps, compatibility with lighting fixtures is extremely important. Incorrectly using incompatible lamps poses a risk of causing serious accidents such as smoke emission and fires. Furthermore, lighting fixture manufacturers' product warranties are premised on the use of specified lamps, so replacing them with incompatible LED lamps will void the warranty itself. It is a misconception to think that simply replacing the lamp allows you to continue using the lighting fixture as-is for a long time; when making a replacement, it is extremely important to thoroughly check the specifications of the fixture and the precautions indicated by the manufacturer in advance.

Accidents caused by improper installation have been confirmed when replacing fluorescent lamps with LED lamps while keeping the existing lighting fixtures.
